Everything has started at Meclisi Mebusan Street Nr:323 in Orya Han . Borusan Oto, being established as the partnership between Giwa GmbH and Borusan Holding, has been carrying out all the characteristics of a leading company in the automotive market. Initiating with the distributing agency of BMW, its commercial affairs have been on the scene since 1984 and also Borusan Otomotiv deserves the title of distributing company which is still performing a great success without any change on its management structure.

Borusan Oto launches the first emergency service implementation.

The 8th President of Turkey Republic, Turgut Özal and Mr. Heitmann is together at the launch of BMW 5 Series

The 7th President of Turkey Republic, Kenan Evren visits BMW AG in Germany

The first independent customer service department in the automotive market was established within the structure of Borusan Oto.

The service consultancy concept was created by our company.

Minister of Environment Mr. Akyürek visits Borusan Oto Avcılar

1993 September
Borusan Oto started to import the first automobiles equipped with catalysator.

1998
Melih Gökçek visits BMW stand

1998 March
Turkey’s first emergency service motorcycle was introduced.

1998 August
Borusan Otomotiv became the Turkey distributor of Land Rover brand, the owner of the best land vehicle title.

2000 December
The year 2000 ends with “firsts” : BMW automobile sales exceed 4.000 units, and Land Rover attains the title of best-selling 4x4 brand.

2002
Dr.Ganal visits Borusan Oto Avcılar, Borusan Oto İstinye and Kosifler Oto Bostancı.

2002 July
Borusan Oto Avcılar and Borusan Oto Ankara showed an over-90% success at the audit of BMW Dealer Quality Management (QMA).

2003 June
Borusan Otomotiv brought new standards into the used car market. The company with its “Approved Used Cars” signed its brand name under another innovation.

2004 January
Borusan Otomotiv is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The BMW AG and Borusan Otomotiv partnership, which was launched in 1984, first introduced the genuine BMW passion to Turkey. And then Land Rover and MINI…These 20 years have witnessed the innovations and contributions of Borusan Otomotiv to the market.

2004 April
BMW Rider Academy was opened. BMW Rider Academy, constructed on the base of BMW Motorrad standards, started its operations in May, 2004 offering beginner and advanced level programs to motorcycle fans.

2004 November
Tayyip Erdoğan visits BMW stand at the Autoshow 2004

Mr. Berning visits Borusan Otomotiv for The Big Five meeting

2005 June
Land Rover Experience Center was opened. Borusan Otomotiv again marks its signature on another innovation. The world-wide known Land Rover Experience Center was opened in Istanbul as the first 4X4 track, where the driving programs were going to be carried out.
